Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

Over 7 incredible days, you’ll experience a hike through the Australian desert!

You’re joining Black Dog Institute on a 7 day hike on the Larapinta Trail. You’ll join a team of like-minded people for a unique experience and raise funds for mental health research. You will get the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our First Nations culture, the Traditional Owners of the land (Arrente people) and to top it all off, you'll climb to the peak of Mt Sonder to watch the sunrise (1,380m). Best of all, you’ll raise vital funds to help Black Dog Institute support Australians living with mental illness through research, training, education, and awareness.

Get ready – the adventure starts here…

How your fundraising helps

1 in 5 Australians experience mental illness every year. And more than 50% of those won’t seek any help.

The Black Dog Institute works in partnership with communities, professionals and governments to bring evidence-informed change to mental health where it is needed most. Our team are working hard to build mental health awareness and reduce stigma in schools, workplaces and communities across Australia. But we need your help to prevent suicide and create better mental health for all.

 What to expect

We can’t wait to see you there!
